Blooming Gardens, Café and Farm Shop

The island of Djurgården, a green oasis in the heart of Stockholm, is a wonderful place for daydreaming.

Wandering through Rosendal Trädgård, established by the Swedish Garden Society between 1861 and 1911, to the greenhouses and gardens with the charmingly romantic café, makes for a perfect outing on a long Swedish midsummer day.

Inside the lovely greenhouses, a farm shop, a flower shop, a stone oven bakery, and a biodynamic garden café offer delicious pastries, breads, salads, ice cream, coffee, wine, and lemonade.

Everything you need for a perfect picnic is quickly at hand.

It’s easy to daydream and enjoy life beside fragrant roses and in the shade of leafy trees.

If you find it hard to part with the enchanting blossoms, you can borrow garden shears from the flower shop and cut your own flowers.

The gardeners grow about fifty different varieties each year, entirely pesticide-free and organically.

Back at the flower shop, you pay by weight and take a piece of Rosendals Trädgård home with you.
